Hi, I’m Jason, the photographer behind Onside Photos.
My journey into sports photography began on the sidelines of my daughter’s games. As I watched her grow as an athlete, I started bringing my camera along and found myself capturing more than goals, saves, and celebrations. I wanted to preserve the determination, laughter, muddy uniforms, high-fives, and small moments that make a season unforgettable.
That passion grew into Onside Photos, where I photograph youth sports with the same care I bring to documenting my own daughter’s games. I look for the split-second moments families may miss: the effort behind a play, the joy after a win, the encouragement between teammates, and the quiet pride on a young athlete’s face.
Before starting Onside Photos, I was an elementary school teacher, so I understand how quickly childhood moves. Seasons pass, children grow, and ordinary moments become treasured memories. My goal is to create photographs that bring families back to the feeling of being there—the excitement, nerves, laughter, and love surrounding the game.
